The Dept. of Pharmacy, USTC offers the following programs:

Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.) - Four (04) Years

Masters of Pharmacy - One (01) Years
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) is a 167 credit undergraduate program over a period
of four academic years run by the Department of Pharmacy at USTC. In addition, Masters of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) is a 30 credit graduate program over one academic year.
Students get sound knowledge and hands-on training on different areas including basic
chemistry, hospital and clinical pharmacology, community pharmacy, toxicology,
pharmacy law, drug use management, pharmacotherapy, patient assessment & counseling,
pharmaceutical dispensing, etc.
• Teaching for the courses is reckoned in credits and the credits allotted to various courses
will be determined as per following guidelines.

• Students are required to complete at least one month industrial training in reputed
pharmaceutical company at the end of last year of B. Pharm program.
The Grading System
The total performance of student in a given course is based on a scheme of continuous
assessment. The distribution of marks for a given course in B. Pharm and M. Pharm
program is as follows:
